Hi Folks,
I know this topic has already been covered before, but I will be conducting a workshop on accessible cell phones in March and am trying to gather as much info as I can. If you can provide me with any info or experience with any of the following phones or carriers, please drop me a private message to let me know what you think or know about these products:
1. Verizon and the Lg-4500 (with or without the firmware upgrade)
2. Sprint and its accessible Toshiba phone (the 4450 or whatever model they're selling now)
3. What accessibility options are offered by U.S. Cellular
4. GSM phones using Talks or MobileSpeaks, MobileMagnifier or other AT solutions (bluetooth keyboard/braille, etc).
5. Other carriers and models of accessible phones they offer and their levels of accessibility
6. Other accommodations offered by carriers for persons with disabilities (braille/large print bills, rebates on phones, etc).
7. Section 255 of the Telecommunications Act and filing a complaint against a cell phone carrier
8. Anything else I didn't think of.
Thanks in advance if you can be of help.

hey hmm, i am interested in what you find out about us cellular. I have talked to them several times about getting more accesibel cell phones. I have th motorolla v810. it is not very accesible, but does for now. It does have a keypad tone setting that makes the phone sa what buttons you are pushing. Only the numbers, when you push the other buttons you hear a different sound. It also has quick key set up. You can set up um lke you want to change your ring tones, you can program different keys to use! A little better than others. It also has voice memo on it, but haven't messed with that. They also have for 4.99 a month the thing like tell me that says the news and all that fun stuff. In that you can also set up a phone book and that is accesible to us by voice. So this makes your phone book very handy. You can also put numbers in your phone book on there site. hope this helps. I have been lookin into this. hope to hear if you find out anything new. smile- angel
